Where can I host my AI-built app?
Tick what your app uses. You will see if it runs on normal shared hosting, needs Node.js, or needs your own server.
The 3 hosting levels
- Normal shared hosting (Hostinger Premium or Unlimited): Upload the files with the File Manager. No server setup, and many sites can share one plan.
- Hosting with Node.js apps (Hostinger Unlimited or Cloud): Hostinger lists Node.js web apps (Express, Next.js, Nuxt and more) on Unlimited and Cloud. Premium does not list Node.js.
- A VPS (your own server) (Hostinger VPS, KVM 1 or bigger): You get a server that keeps running 24/7 and can install anything. More power, a little more setup.
Most websites made with ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini need only the first level.
Questions
Can I host an AI-generated website on cheap shared hosting?
Usually yes. If the AI gave you HTML, CSS and JavaScript, or a React or Vite app you can build into static files, or PHP with MySQL, it runs on normal shared hosting. You only need more when the app has a Node.js or Python server, or something that must run 24/7.
Do I need Node.js hosting for a React app?
Not if it is a normal React or Vite app: run npm run build and upload the dist folder. You need Node.js hosting only when the app has its own server, like Next.js server rendering, API routes or an Express backend.
Which Hostinger plans run Node.js apps?
On Nov 3, 2026, hostinger.com listed Node.js web apps on Unlimited and Cloud, with frameworks like Express, Next.js, Nuxt and Astro. Premium did not list Node.js. Check the plan page before you buy.
When do I need a VPS?
When something must keep running all the time (bots, n8n automations, AI agents), when you use Python, or when you run a local AI model with Ollama. A VPS is your own server, so you can install anything.
What about Lovable, Bolt or other app builders?
Many of them create a React front end with a Supabase backend. The front end can be built to static files and hosted on shared hosting, while the data stays on Supabase.
