Not tested yet, so not scored (
why)
Scores are my own editorial ratings from testing both carts and dashboards, out of 10. They are not customer reviews. Our overall rating is calculated from four assessed categories: price, renewal pricing, ease of use and features. We have not independently tested customer support response times or resolution quality, so support is excluded from the score.
The overall score is the plain average of the four tested ratings.
๐ก Hostinger saves you about $239 over 4 years.
Hosting only, before tax. Hostinger: $2.51/mo with coupon LEARN2EARN (48 months). hosting.com: 3 years at $3.99 plus one year at the $17.99 renewal.
From our own US carts (USD, before tax). "Pre-checked" items were already ticked at checkout and are counted; optional items are not. Unknown renewal prices are never guessed. How we test.
โ green = the better option for that row.
Price: what you really pay
Hostinger Unlimited is $2.79 a month on the 48-month plan during Black Friday, and my coupon LEARN2EARN takes it to about $2.51. That is roughly $121 for four years. hosting.com Medium for WordPress is $3.99 a month, but only on the 3-year term in the cart, so about $144 for three years. Per month, Hostinger is cheaper and you get an extra year.
Renewal: almost the same
Hostinger renews at $16.99 a month and hosting.com at $17.99 a month. So the real difference is the first term, not the long run. Pick the longest term you are comfortable with to lock the low price.
Features: flexible vs specialist
Hostinger lets you host unlimited websites of any kind, with daily backups, a CDN and an AI builder that creates a full site from a short description. hosting.com is WordPress only, and that is its strength: WP Rocket, Object Cache Pro, Cloudflare Enterprise and a WordPress firewall are included, but the Medium plan is limited to five sites.
Same 4 years, side by side
The upfront totals look close (about $121 vs $144), but they do not cover the same time. Hostinger's $120.53 (Unlimited, 48 months, Black Friday price plus LEARN2EARN) covers four years. hosting.com's $143.64 (Medium, $3.99 x 36 months) covers three. Add a fourth year at hosting.com's $17.99 renewal (about $216) and the same four years cost about $360. If you only ever need three years, hosting.com is the smaller bill; for four years, Hostinger costs less than half.
Who should NOT buy each
Skip Hostinger if you want cPanel or a managed WordPress speed stack (WP Rocket, Object Cache Pro) set up for you. Skip hosting.com Medium if you need more than five sites, want to host non-WordPress projects such as AI-generated HTML sites or PHP apps, or do not want a renewal bill in year four.
Which is cheaper over 4 years?
Hostinger. Unlimited on 48 months is about $121 with coupon LEARN2EARN. hosting.com Medium is about $144 for 3 years plus about $216 for the fourth year at renewal, so about $360.
Is Hostinger cheaper than hosting.com?
Yes for the first term. Hostinger Unlimited is about $2.51 a month with coupon LEARN2EARN on 48 months, while hosting.com Medium is $3.99 a month on 3 years. Renewal prices are close: $16.99 vs $17.99 a month.
Which is better for WordPress?
Both run WordPress well. hosting.com adds a premium speed stack (WP Rocket, Object Cache Pro, Cloudflare Enterprise), so it is better for one serious WordPress site. Hostinger is better if you want several sites or the AI builder.
Can I host more than 5 websites on hosting.com?
Not on the Medium plan. If you need more than five websites, Hostinger Unlimited lets you host unlimited sites.
Does the Hostinger coupon work with Black Friday prices?
Yes. I tested LEARN2EARN in the cart and it gives an extra discount on top of the Black Friday price.
Do both include a free domain?
Yes. In my carts both Hostinger and hosting.com included the domain free for the first year.
